Destiny Duron Deas has extensive experience in Chinese culture and economics. She graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a double major in Economics and International Studies and minors in both Chinese Language and Asian Studies. Fluent in Mandarin, Deas completed a semester exchange program at the Peking University Law School in China, studying Chinese law, language, and culture for economic transactions.  In 2008, Deas graduated magna cum laude from Duke Law School and also received a Master of Arts degree in East Asian Studies. She has worked in the court systems; most recently as a clerk with Judge Paul Niemeyer on the United States Fourth Circuit in Baltimore, Maryland.
